ON BEING GRATEFUL

ON BEING GRATEFUL

Is it true that you often feel surrounded by negativity? Especially with the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, everyday we are bombarded by bad news, political discord, and catastrophic world events.

Have you ever thought of turning off the television, shutting down your phone, and even close the lid on your computer?  Try it ... life won't seem as bad, would it?  Think about what you need in life and what you already have ... and many of us have way more of what we want in life as well.

Take a moment during this new year and look around you ... look at the good things that are happening around you. Like the people you love and who love you too.  You have food on the table, a bed to sleep in, and not to mention a roof over your head.  Now then, why do we still find a lot of unhappiness and stress in our lives?  Because we let it stay in our lives!

The antidote to our unhappiness isn't the newest thing, the latest diet fad, or the next achievement.  The true antidote is in the word gratitude. Gratitude is expressing appreciation for what you have right now. Being grateful isn't just an idea you stick on a Post-It note for a quick shot of feel-good. There are many reasons why we hear it so often.  Gratitude can transform you.  It can pull you from the vortex of negativity that is sucking the life out of you and give you a renewed sense of purpose and joy!

Would you like to start taking the first step (if you haven't already) towards being grateful and finding more happiness in life?

"How?" you may ask ... simple, and that is - start keeping a Gratitude Journal to unlock the true happiness you will find even during these unhappy times!  And SB's got some beautiful Journals and Notebooks (for bullet-journalling) perfect for this purpose (and more of course)!

Here are 5 reasons keeping a Gratitude Journal WILL change your life

  1. Increase positivity: When you take the time to focus on the good things in your life, you naturally become more positive ...
  2. Improve self-esteem: Keeping a journal is a very personal activity and allows you to be present with your own achievements ...
  3. Reduce stress: When your mind is thinking more positively, stress will simply leave you alone and let your mind free from negativity ...
  4. Help you sleep better: With less stress, your mind and your body can relax and get a better sleep (thus, a fresher mind and body for the next day) ...
  5. Ultimately, help making you and your life happier (and that is your goal!) ...

Hope you have found this little tidbit of wisdom from our friends at https://www.developgoodhabits.com helpful to start your new year in the way that makes you happy!   We, at SB, always want to count our blessings and starting with you, we'd love to THANK YOU for your continued support even during these crazy times ...

NEW YEAR = NEW YOU!

Welcome to 2021 as we begin a year of gratitude ...
